On October 10 and 11, Taipei East Power traveled south to Fengshan Gymnasium in Kaohsiung for the TPVL "Southern Heatwave Preseason Invitational," defeating Pingtung Taipower and Hsinchu Collie Engineers 3:1 on consecutive days. The team now carries a two-game preseason winning streak into the 2026-27 season opener on October 18.

In the opener against Pingtung Taipower, Taipei East Power found itself in a tight battle from the first serve, with both sides trading points all the way to deuce. Middle blocker Andriy OROBKO delivered the decisive block at the net, giving Taipei East Power a narrow 28:26 first set. From there the team found its rhythm: captain KAO Wei-Cheng scored again and again, TOZAKI Takahiro joined the attack, and WEN Yi-Kai set up set point with a deft tip from position four before OROBKO closed it out with another block, 25:21. Pingtung Taipower regrouped in the third set and took it back on the strength of several outstanding defensive saves. Taipei East Power answered in the fourth by building a wall at the net, with Navreet SINGH leading multiple stuff blocks while WEN Yi-Kai and HONG Rong-Fa took turns finding gaps in the defense. WEN Yi-Kai sealed the match with a powerful back-row spike, 25:16, for the first win of the weekend.

The next day against Hsinchu Collie Engineers, Taipei East Power picked up where it left off. KAO Wei-Cheng and WEN Yi-Kai opened the scoring from the wings, Navreet SINGH added a service ace, and once TOZAKI Takahiro entered later in the set the blocks kept coming, giving Taipei East Power the first set 25:19. Collie Engineers changed their serving strategy in the second set and successfully slowed Taipei East Power's attack to level the match. Taipei East Power adjusted quickly in the third set, with TOZAKI Takahiro and KAO Wei-Cheng leading the charge; after the opponents briefly drew level, a key block by Andriy OROBKO and a tip from WEN Yi-Kai that broke the defense's rhythm put Taipei East Power back in front, 25:21.

The fourth set was the tightest of the weekend. Both teams went all out and the set went to deuce four times. Taipei East Power's trio of KAO Wei-Cheng, WEN Yi-Kai and TOZAKI Takahiro kept trading blows to hold their ground, until KAO Wei-Cheng stepped up with a decisive attack from position two to win the set 28:26, closing out a hard-fought match and completing a perfect two-game preseason weekend.

Across both matches, the chemistry between new foreign signings TOZAKI Takahiro and ONODERA Hayato and captain KAO Wei-Cheng and WEN Yi-Kai continued to take shape, while the net defense anchored by Andriy OROBKO and Navreet SINGH made the difference on key points, laying a solid foundation for the new season.
