FIRST JUMP: Tokki Cutie - The TAIPEI EAST POWER Cheer Team Photo Story 2025-2026, the first team photo story book from TAIPEI EAST POWER's cheer team Tokki Cutie, drew attention quickly after preorders opened on April 17, climbing the charts at major retailers such as Books.com.tw, eslite, and Kingstone within a short time. It performed strongly on both preorder and category charts, taking first place in several of them and generating a wave of buzz before it even went on sale.

The book turns its lens on the team's first year. From group practice and rehearsals to their official debut, those few minutes of perfect unison on stage are the result of training the same moves over and over. Photographs and interviews alternate through the book, so that as you look at the images you gradually piece together how this team grew into what it is today in such a short time.

The 16 members each joined with a different background, which makes the makeup of the team especially interesting. Some built up years of cheerleading experience in Korea before choosing to start over in Taiwan; some came from ballet or dance training to the rhythm of the court; and others honed their fundamentals in military performing troupes, on sports fields, or on performance stages. There are also a taekwondo black belt, theater graduates, video creators, and people from marketing…… All these seemingly unrelated experiences come together here in an unexpected way and turn into a remarkably unified energy on the floor.

The book is not only photographs; it also keeps plenty of the moments that did not go so smoothly. Trying again after failing an audition, getting stuck while adjusting to a new environment, or the daily grind of repeating a routine to keep up with the team. These processes look ordinary, but in the end they become the few movements that land squarely on the court. The smooth performance the audience sees takes a great deal of effort behind the scenes.

The book comes with a photo card, a mini poster, a charm, and a card sleeve, packed at random with no duplicates, which gives it a little of the feel of an unboxing. Some people will want to collect them, while others simply carry them around as everyday keepsakes. Support does not have to be extravagant; sometimes it is just something you fit into your life and build up little by little.

Judging by how it shot up the charts during preorders, FIRST JUMP is no longer just a record that ends here; it feels more like an opening that is still unfolding. These young women have taken their first step, and where they go next may well leave more stories to be written.
